Big Brothers Big Sisters:
The Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact. Big Brothers Big Sisters serves over 200,000 children, ages 6 through 18, in 5,000 communities throughout the United States. Research consistently demonstrates that Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring helps at-risk youth overcome the many challenges they face. For more information about BBBS and how you can help in your community, click here.
The Jack in the Box Foundation supports Big Brothers Big Sisters in a variety of ways:

Maria Shriver, first lady of California (left), and Linda Lang, Jack in the Box Inc. Chairman and CEO (right), greet students during the Operation Bigs kickoff on Sept. 21, 2004, at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. The Jack in the Box Foundation helped launch the program with a $100,000 donation. |
We sponsor events and programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters in our restaurant communities, including "Operation Bigs" in Southern California. Operation Bigs matches kids from military families whose parents are deployed overseas with mentors primarily from military, including Marine and Navy personnel. |

We sponsor a national school-based mentoring program matching high school student "Bigs" with elementary school student "Littles". For more information, click here.

Our "First Meal" program treats newly-matched Bigs and Littles to a free meal at a Jack in the Box® restaurant. |
We raise awareness for BBBS and encourage volunteerism by displaying decals in our restaurants.

We encourage volunteerism among Jack in the Box employees, many of whom volunteer as Bigs, serve on local BBBS boards, and participate in BBBS recruitment and fund-raising events.
